Job Summary:

IMS is seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager to organize and coordinate programs on a part-time basis. The selected candidate will provide strategic guidance to teams and project managers in ways that promote the company’s culture. You will also oversee the progress of operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. The selected candidate will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics.

The goal is to ensure that all programs deliver our organization’s desired outcome to support our clients.

Job Duties/Responsibilities (List not all inclusive):
  • Develop and control deadlines, budgets, and performance metrics
  • Serve as the client escalation focal point
  • Monitor projects and oversee staff to ensure deliverables are met
  • Implement productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
  • Meet with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals
  • Evaluate and assess program strengths and weaknesses
  • Formulate, organize, and monitor inter-connected projects
  • Apply change, risk, and resource management to ensure program success
  • Prepare reports for clients
  • Organize daily activities based on organizational and client goals
  • Lead, evaluate, and support project managers and staff
  • Assess program performance and develop strategies to maximize ROI
  • Communicate team expectations and review contributions
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by exploring opportunities to add value
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Program or Multi-Projects Manager
  • Expertise in project/program management techniques and methods
  • Excellent conflict resolution and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management tools
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving, cost control, and budgeting skills
  • Ability to assess and mitigate risk
  • Meets U.S. citizenship and work eligibility requirements for federal contractors
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance, if required
Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; master's preferred (from an accredited college or university)
  • Minimum 8 years proven Project management experience (managing multiple projects simultaneously)
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ management experience
  • DoD related experience preferred (may include military, civil service, or defense contracting)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Lean Six Sigma certification(s)
