Job Summary:
IMS is seeking a Foreign Relations Program Coordinator to enhance international efforts in strategic planning, support transformational policy development, and provide expertise on multidomain issues. This individual will assist in managing policy changes, supporting senior leaders, maintaining databases, hosting workshops, leading forums, and ensuring timely execution of international activities, while delivering excellent customer service and collaborating with mission partners
Job Duties/Responsibilities (List not all inclusive):
- Enhance and integrate country and regional international efforts into client’s business and strategic planning efforts
- Provides support in the implementation of new, or modification of existing, International Agreements (i.e., Memorandums of Agreement or Understanding (MOAs/MOUs), Project Agreements (PAs), Data or Information Exchange Annexes (DEAs/IEAs), Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs)) and supporting documentation in assigned areas
- Supports client development procedures improving program execution, creating transformational international policies & procedures while formulating effective strategies consistent with the business & competitive strategy of the lab in a multidomain, global economy
- Identifies and maintains currency on key country and regional international policies and economic, political, and social trends that affect client’s key organizational goals and objectives
- Provides technical expertise in consulting and supporting roles for multidomain international issues for client, both internally and externally
- Creates, monitors, & tracks changes to government client’s instructions, policies, and procedures
- Provides direct support to client and other client senior leaders for international activities and engagements
- Maintains currency of client’s international databases & international agreement tracking tools
- Assists in the planning and execution of road shows, forums, video teleconferences and hosts technology and mission focused workshops for training, networking, and sharing best practices
- Leads and manages country and regional international forums and directs the efforts in executing client’s role in development of international partnership agreements
- Ensures critical international activities between client and foreign governments/countries are accomplished in a timely and professional manner (e.g. forums, agreements, visits, etc.)
- Improves the international business process that will allow client to accomplish its strategic objectives effectively and efficiently
- Interfaces with representatives from each of the client’s mission partners, relevant staff, and personnel from associated directorates and organizations
- Maintains historical files and assists in the publication of meeting minutes, trip reports, and action items as well as the tracking of action item status from client meetings and conferences
- Ensures a high-level of customer service is achieved regarding answering telephonic and e-mail inquiries from personnel concerning all aspects of client assigned tasks
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Highly developed interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills to conduct research and provide insights
- Highly proficient in using MS Office Suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio)
- Meets U.S. citizenship and work eligibility requirements for federal contractors
- Must have or be able to obtain documentation for international travel and U.S. re-entry, if required
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DOD) Secret level clearance, if required
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, business administration or related field required (from an accredited college or university)
- Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience
- Previous experience dealing with staffing packages and supporting engagement with foreign partners/allies preferred
- DoD related experience preferred (may include military, civil service, or defense contracting)
